SM Prime donates Php 2.5M to charity

Christmas being a time for giving, the management and employees of SM Prime Holdings, Inc. (SMPHI) took the spirit of the season to heart by donating their Php 2.5M Christmas party fund to charities serving the underprivileged.

"SM Prime comes together as one family to helpunderserved communities amid the challenging times. We hope to bring some joy to Filipino families everywhere sothey can have a meaningful Christmas celebration," said SM Prime Executive Director and President Jeffrey Lim.

The donation drive is a project of SMPHI and its units and subsidiaries namely SM Development Corporation (SMDC), SM Offices, SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation (SMHCC) and SM Supermalls including SM Cinema, and SM Lifestyle and Family Entertainment Company, Inc. (FECI).

SMPH provided financial support to the social and humanitarian causes of its media partners includingPhilippine Star, Philippine Daily Inquirer, Manila Bulletin, ABS-CBN and GMA to reach more communities this holiday season apart from those being served by SM Cares and SM Foundation.

SM Prime employees have foregone Christmas parties to stand in solidarity with those who are in need. Instead, each employee received Christmas package to share and enjoy with family and loved ones.

In addition to this monetary donation, SM distributed over 50,000 food packs to families all over the country under its Christmas Kalinga donation program.
